Santa

So Sunday we took the girls to go see Santa. We timed it pretty good and didn't have to wait in line all that long. Good thing because poor Shelby wasn't feeling all that great. She has that dreaded cough and yucky nose that's been going around :(. All in all it wasnt' that bad of an experience. We got a decent picture and Alexia got to tell Santa what she wanted. Although they don't give you much time up there. Its go in, put the kids on santa ,back out of the way so they can take a few pics, tell santa "quickly" what you want, and go to another line to get your pics. It was rushed but with all the kids there to see santa I can totally see why they have it like that! Yay for Christmas its almost here!!

We have teeth!!

So Shelby is getting bigger everyday and the time is flying by! Now she is a big girl with 2 bottom teeth making their way through!! After months of teething, drooling, and chewing her pearly whites made their grand entrance...here was the best pic I could get of her little chompers :)

Thanksgiving!

Well I hope everyone had an amazing thanksgiving....we sure did. We spent thanksgiving at my parents house with my mom, dad, sister and grandparents. It was a nice day with everyone together and my mom made an amazing dinner!! After dinner it was a fun filled night of games games games!!

Cookies

Ok so the night before Thanksgiving I decided to make some cookies and have Lexi and I frost them to take to my parents house the following day. Well I got a receipe for sugar cookies from my friend Melissa's blog and they were by far the BEST ever so thanks Melissa!! Anyway here are some pics of us frosting them...

And this is how Shelby helped with all the cookie fun!! Yummy Frosting!!!!!

Here is the receipe for the best sugar cookies you will ever taste!
3 C flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 beaten eggs
1 C sugar
1 C shortening
1 t. vanilla
Cream eggs and sugar together. Cream in shortening-add vanilla and dry ingredients. Add flour until blended-form into ball, taking sections to roll out and cut into shapes. Roll out thick and bake no more than 8 minutes at 350. Cookies should be white on the bottom as well as on the top. They look like they are nor done-they continue to bake as they cool. Let cool 5 minutes then remove from pan. Great for all holidays! Dont forget to frost them!

Twilight!

Ok so Jimmy and I got a date night on Friday (thanks mom for watching the kiddos!) to go see Twilight. We have been hooked on the books and were excited to go see the movie. While I have to say they did a pretty good job on the movie the books are ALWAYS better. I dont know, I guess you just get so much more from a book than you do from a movie but none-the-less we enjoyed the movie and our "date night". I am excited to see if they continue to make the movies like they did with Harry Potter :)

More Halloween

Ok, so here are a few pics of Shelby that were taken with my sister's camera on Halloween. They are a crack up! Alexia decided that she wanted to see what Shelby would look like with her "Ariel" wig on......at first Shelby wasn't too sure.............Then she started talking up a storm! Gotta love these kids!

We hope that everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! We had an awesome time. We took the girls trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and they had so much fun! Alexia really got into the whole knocking on the doors and saying "trick-or-treat" and getting her goodies! Shelby went along for the ride in her stroller but was just as cute as could be in her ladybug outfit!! Alexia managed to trick-or-treat the whole time in her entire costume which I was surprised by!! The only thing we lost along the way was the crown which kept coming off so we tucked it in the stroller but other than that she did amazing with her costume!! I thought for sure we would lose a shoe here, the wig there, and what not but I was wrong!! Below are a few pics of me and the girls. I have more pics to put up but they are in another camera so as soon as I get those downloaded I'll get them up!

Pumpkin Fun!

So this past Saturday we headed out to the pumpkin patch! There was so much for everyone to do there. Alexia got to ride the ponies, Shelby got to pet a mini donkey, We ate snow cones and picked out the "perfect" pumpkins....

After the pumpkin patch we headed over to my parents house to carve our pumpkins! Pumpkin carving isn't my thing lol. Im not as creative as the rest of my family! :) but it was fun none-the-less. We had pumpkins with faces, a kitty pumpkin, a skeleton pumpkin, a spider, spongebob(guess who's that was!), a wolf, and then Shelby's little pumpkin said "Tubbs". They all came out sooooo good. Too bad they didn't last long...they are alread shrivling up since its been like 87 degrees out here in October!! The important thing is that we had tons of fun and got to spend time with our family.

Finished Products!!

So, as a young kid I became accustomed to not being able to find my name on anything. I mean they always had "Sheri" but it was rarely spelled the way that I spell my name. So on the off chance that I ever did find anything whether it be a trinket, pen or whatever I always bought it...and still do. Well Alexia is going to have the same problem. Poor kid, I have yet to find ANYTHING with her name on it. The always have alexIS or alexA but never A-L-E-X-I-A. Well lo and behold I was grocery shopping at WalMart and came across french fries with the brand name ALEXIA!! I thought is was so funny that I had to take a picture and post it! Of course we bought the bag lol maybe now her name will gain some popularity!!

Ear Piercing!

Ok so im just starting this whole blogging thing! Seems to be the thing to do now-a-days! I think that its a good idea for friends and family to see what's going on in our life! Anyway, I thought this might be a good first post! Last weekend the girls got their ears pierced. Yay!! Alexia did awesome, not even a tear. Shelby on the other hand...well she screamed bloody murder! It was so sad to see her so upset, but once we gave her the bottle she was fine. All was calm again! Here are some pics of the fancy girls
