Shelby's Swim Graduation

Shelby graduated from swimming lessons last night yay!! We are sooo super proud of her. Even tho there were rough nights and she cried she always pulled through and did what her teacher asked and was on the same learning level as the other kids. She learned so much in this class, more than i ever thought a 14 month old could learn....but she alawys amazes us with how bright she is. We love you Shelby and are very proud of you!!!

shelby in the car on the way to class here is shelby getting her medal
and her ribbon. GO SHELBY!

then they tried to get a group picture....that was a little harder. (Guess she likes to be the center of attention) she was not happy to share the podium with the other kids in her class
nope...still no smile......just tears
poor ms jocelyn...trying to get the kids to stay put lol
kids everywhere
after the ceremony....back in the pool

mommy getting shelby her flippers
shelby swimming off the side...such a big girl
here she is swimming without the flippers
ahhh the duck. shelby giving him kisses. this duck got us through many a swim class with a not so happy baby. no matter how upset shelby would be she would always look for this duck and say "quack quack" priceless. without this duck we may not have made it through!!

good thing grama val bought shelby her very own duck!!! excatly like this one! thank you grama!!! shelby loves him!
still holding onto her "friend"

shelby we love you so much and you have grown so fast!! we are very proud of you and are so glad you are a part of our family!!

Sea World

so we left on vacation tuesday night after shelbys swim class because we thought it would be easier to do the long drive while the kids slept...it was great!! Poor jimmy was a trooper to drive the whole way then get up early wednesday morning to head to the park!! we had an awesome time! By far sea world was our favorite park! It was amazing...i had never been before and they had so much to do and so many neat shows and experiences.

right when we walked into the park shelby wasnt too sure
this was the neatest!! they had dolphins that you could feed or just watch and they came right up to you!! you could pet them it was such a neat experience

my dad watching us feed the dolphins

our new friend

me and shelby...she would giggle whenever he came over to us

here we were at the stingray tank petting them

these were the california tide pools....we were able to touch starfish and sea creatures
in one of the several aquariums they had

gram and shelby

we tried to let shelby walk as much as she could so she wouldnt hate the stroller lol her little legs walked a long way!!!
this is the first show we went to...it was called cirque del mar! it was a neat water acrabatic show.

more aquariums

this was the famous shamu show- believe. it was an amazing show! such beautiful animals!!! it was really neat to see and be so close

shelby loved the shows. she loved all the actions and music!
after that we headed to the kids side. they had rides and some water fountains for the kids to play in! we had fun and it was nice to get the kids in their swim suits to cool off
me and shelby riding the flying fish

papa joe and lex shelby and alexia playing in the water

lex and jimmy went on the rope bridge....
she froze a little but eventually made it across
we then headed over to the shark exhibit...it was very crowded and HOT inside...

scary!!!! those teeth were huge we went to see a dolphin show later that day..that was neat and we had fun listening to the music! Dolphins are so smart and it was neat to watch them after we had gotten to pet them earlier

we went to the artic exhibit..how neat that was. i think that was one of my favorites we got to cool off in the exhibit which was nice
this was my favorite animal...the beluga whale what a beautiful animal
shelby liked watching the polar bear sleep....she didnt want to leave the little cubby

leaving the artic exhibitthey had several rides at the park...the best was the journey to atlantis..it was a water ride/roller coaster!! They had a big set up which incleded these little dolphins that looked like killer whalespapa joe, gram, and lex riding atlantis

the last show we saw was the shamu rocks at night! how awesome...it was so neat and loud the kids just loved it!!! the music was awesome and they had a show screen that we actually got on! it was very cool!this was hands down everyones favorite park and one we will definately go back for. i highly recommend it to everyone...the whole trip was amazing but if you have to pick one...this is it!!!
